Joint Optimization of UAV Trajectory and Sensor Uploading Powers for UAV-Assisted Data Collection in Wireless Sensor Networks

In this article, we investigate the energy minimization problem of an unmanned-aerial-vehicle (UAV)-assisted data collection sensor network. We jointly optimize trajectory UAV and power consumption sensors for uploading with constraints sensors. The design consists two parts: 1) serving orders 2) UAV’s hovering positions, where latter is highly coupled To find optimal sensors, formulate as a standard traveling salesman (TSP), which can be optimally solved by efficient Cutting-Plane method. solve position optimization problem, propose PSPSCA algorithm that optimizes transmit pattern search method, while positions are optimized successive-convex-approximation (SCA) method in inner loop. deal high computational complexity algorithm, analyze analytical relationship between based on simplify AQSCA alternative approach. Simulation results have validated proposed outperforms existing benchmark schemes.
